Lavender Planting Clinics & Sale at the Western Wake Farmers' Market

Due to many requests from our customers, the farm will head to Wake County in Spring and Fall with local lavender seedlings and our collection of hand made lavender gifts for body, gifts, home and weddings. 

Learn to properly plant lavender with farm owner Annie Baggett. Bring your questions. We'll bring the lavender seedlings that do well in our region and teach you how to plant and care for them.

Our farm is pledged to bringing you local lavender that is fresh and fragrant, be it in the form of a plant or a hand made gift. Many of our items are one-of-a-kind, and each is hand crafted on the farm with the lavender that we grow.

Duke Farmers' Market OPENS APRIL 23, 2010, Fridays from 11 am to 2 pm

The lavender farm attends the market for spring and fall markets, the ideal time to plant lavender. THE FARM DOES NOT ATTEND THIS MARKET DURING OUR HARVEST, IN JUNE or JULY. SEE DATES BELOW. If you are a Duke customer and need items in the summer months, contact annie@sunshinelavenderfarm.com. Visit the farmers' market for lavender gifts too. You will leave with hand-crafted items, all gift wrapped too!

DIRECTIONS: The Duke Farmers’ Market has RELOCATED! Now find lots of farm fresh items and healthy lunch options an easy walk off of Research Drive. Take the sidewalk as if you are headed to the Searle Center to the new market location on the grassy area. Take a mid-day break and join us! Look for our purple tent, banners and signage. See you there!!



Greensboro Farmers' Curb Market , 6 am - Noon

The farm visits this market for spring and fall planting.

DIRECTIONS: NOW located in The Home Depot parking lot off of Hwy 86, convenient to all points in Hillsborough, Orange County, and I-85. From points east on I-85, turn left at the end of the ramp, crossing the bridge. Home Depot is on your right. From points west, take the Hwy 86 exit and turn right at the end of the ramp. Home Depot is on your right.

This is the 20 year old, established Farmers' Market with 50 vendor members and plenty of parking! Look for our signature purple tent!



Lovely Lavender Day at Pharsalia in TYRO, VIRGINIA , Wednesday, June 23, 2010, 10 am - 3 pm

Bring a friend, gardening pal or come solo! Just 2.5 hours up Hwy 29N from the farm, join us at Pharsalia, a private home and historic treasure, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia near Wintergreen resort. (See more at pharsaliaevents.com.) Tour with our host, Foxie Morgan, the many buildings and gardens on this former plantation built in 1814. Hands-on lavender demonstrations with the many varieties of lavender and their versatile uses. While our Virginia lavender is in full bloom, relax and enjoy the day with us at Pharsalia while experiencing lavender. Growing, landscaping, harvesting, crafting and eating! Taste goodies with lavender like Chocolate Lavender Ice Cream, Lavender Lemonade and more! Annie Baggett from sunshine lavender farm in North Carolina will lead our class and teach all about growing and caring for the many varieties of lavender and what is best grown in Virginia and the region. A history tour of Pharsalia will be included. Lunch, fresh from the garden will be served. Fee is $58.00. After lunch, you may wish to create fresh lavender items, like wands, mini baskets, or swags. Or, make an adorable petite everlasting lavender wreath.  ~ Additional fee is $30 for either craft or wreath class. All materials are provided, just bring yourself! Lavender plants and products from the farm will be available for sale. Bring a friend and your camera! 2010 Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival in Cary, NC, Last Saturday in August 28, 9 am - 5 pm

Visit one of the best arts and crafts events in America!

For those who live in the Raleigh/Cary area or eastward, this is a great opportunity to visit our "farm on wheels"! Find us in space C-321 just down from Ashworth's Drug Store on Academy Street in Cary.

Find lots of lavender items, to include preserved lavender bouquets, farm fresh products for body, gifts and home. Lots of hand made one-of-a-kinds and as many lavender seedlings as are ready for this event too.

I'll also bring the cooler of Lavender Lemonade for sampling, while it lasts!

Holly Days Bazaar, Saturday, November, 2010, 8:30 am - 4 pm

Join the lavender farm at the Alamance County Service League's Annual Holly Days Bazaar. This Bazaar is a delightful event and proceeds go towards assisting those in need in the area. Come for lunch and to SHOP LOCALLY for the holiday season. The farm will feature unique, one-of-a-kind lavender gifts along with the full line of farm fresh, hand crafted items for body, gifts, home, and weddings. Save the date since this event is now on a Saturday, rather than during the week as it was for many years.
